Bio

Alfredo Vara Alonso is a Senior Advisor at Cuntur Capital. In addition, Mr. Vara is the CEO of Xinfra, an Energy and Infrastructure Investment Trust (an Infrastructure REIT) founded in 2022.

​

Mr. Vara was the CEO of Banobras, Mexico's largest development bank, and co-managed FONADIN, Mexico's largest infrastructure trust.

​

Mr. Vara is co-founder and former CEO of FHipo, the first Mexican investment vehicle specialized in mortgage portfolios (Mortgage REIT). He also founded VACE Partners, a leading boutique investment bank in Mexico, co-founded Yave, a digital mortgage platform, and AC Capital, an investment firm focused on distressed assets. Previously, he worked at Deutsche Bank and Citibank.

Mr. Vara holds an MBA and an MA in Economics from Yale University, as well as a BA in Economics from ITAM.
